Hendersonville Sanborn Maps
These 19th and 20th Century maps were originally created help insurance companies estimate their liability in urban areas. Now they provide researchers a detailed look at urban areas down to street level. The collection includes maps of Hendersonville from 1896, 1901, 1908, 1912, 1922, 1926, and 1926 (with additions dated 1943 and 1949.)
North Carolina Maps
This collection of historic North Carolina maps contains 3000 maps of the state and it's 100 counties. The time period covered stretches from the late 1500s to 2000.

List of Architectural Drawings in the Stillwell Collection
This a list of the drawings by the late Erle Stillwell held at the Henderson County Public Library. Stillwell was a well-known architect in the Southeast from the early to mid 20th Century. He designed many prominent local buildings in Hendersonville and Henderson County and many movie theaters around the South. To view the drawings make an appointment by calling the Service Desk (697-4725 option 3).
