Mountain BizWorks is a non-profit that helps local small businesses start, grow, and create jobs through loans, classes, and coaching.

They provide business loans and coaching to emerging and established small businesses in Western North Carolina. We have a particular focus on working with businesses unable to access financing from banks and other traditional sources, as well as low-income, minority, women, and immigrant entrepreneurs, and businesses that operate within the local food system.


SCORE Western North Carolina serves 8 counties in Southwest NC. These are (east to west) Polk, Rutherford, Henderson, Transylvania, Jackson, Macon, Clay and Cherokee. One-one and team counseling sessions are by appointment.


The Blue Ridge Community College Small Business Center is part of the Small Business Center Network of North Carolina.  Here at your local Small Business Center you can find:
